I’ve been following Gary Vaynerchuk for a few years now. If you aren’t familiar with him, he’s an entrepreneur/public speaker with a substantial social media presence with a raw authenticity about him that people either love or hate. I fall into the first category, and I often find myself sharing his posts with friends and collaborators as we try to keep our business growing and changing with the times.
Gary is notoriously active on social media, often hammering home the idea that it’s not about how many followers you have, it’s about interacting with people to connect with them and building relationships with the people who want to see you succeed. To that end, you can almost always see him replying to comments and he posts a personal phone number out in the world so folks can text him. He pushes a really interesting kind of human hustle, and I’ve found his work pretty inspiring since I discovered it.
Anyway, Gary, if you get the chance to read this, I appreciate the hell out of what you do. Thanks for the motivation, and please – keep it up. Not that you need me to tell you so.
